1] Mr Wong has some literature books and some story book,which are 4% and 15% of his
book collection respectively. The difference between the numbers of these two types of
books is 77.

(a) Find the total number of books Mr Wong has.
(b) If Mr Wong has 126 science fiction books, what percentage of his book collection
is science fiction?



2] The original prices of mobile phone A and mobile phone B are $1750 and $2500 respectively.

(a) If the prices of both mobile phones are decreased by 25%, find the decrease in the
price of each mobile phone.

(b) If the prices of both mobile phones are decreased by $750, find the percentage decrease
in the price of each mobile phone.



3] The length of a hot metal strip is 16 cm. When the stripcools down, its length decreases by 5%.Find the decrease
in length.


4] If a and b are positive numbers, and a=3b, by what percentage is a greater than b?

mr wong has = 77 除 (15%-4%)
                   = 77 除 11%
                   = 700
1 b )
the percentage of his book collection is = 126/700 x 100%
                                                       = 18 %
